Hi there! I'm Melanie...wife, boy mom, artist.  I live here in the mountains and Yosemite is basically my backyard. You can usually find me painting, hiking, practicing yoga, or playing with my two little guys.

 

Along with being a professional makeup artist, I'm also a trained artist with a background in fine art, having received my degree from Fresno State. As such, your face is my canvas and I take an artist's approach when applying makeup, working with light and color to enhance your best features. When it comes to beauty I believe that people should notice you first, not your makeup! So with that in mind, I'll personally work with you to develop a look that's custom created for you so that you feel like the best version of yourself.

 

 As a makeup artist, I've worked in various aspects of the beauty and entertainment industries for more than twenty years. After starting my career in the salon I moved into working in tv and print, and have worked with numerous celebrities, models, and photographers. From there, I went on to develop and teach professional makeup courses for Columbia College in Chicago as well as corporate workshops. My career has included working for makeup lines like MAC, Tarte, Chanel, and others, as well as clinical skincare and cosmetics companies.

 

 While I love being behind the camera, I really enjoy working with brides-to-be, like you! Nothing beats helping you look and feel your absolute best on one of the most important days of your life! I'm limited to the number of weddings that I take on per year so please contact me for my rates and availability.
