A bridal hair artist from the foothills of Sequoia National Park, she finds inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors from the majesty of the gigantic Sequoias to the glaciers in Yosemite.
She loves the intimacy of elopements and intimate weddings, and ultimately believes that her craft is more than just ‘hair styling’, but an art. Mariah - A licensed esthetician and makeup artist for over 14 years, her passion for makeup started at a young age. Growing up in the small town of Wabasha, MN, she began experimenting with color and drawing and eventually discovered her love of enhancing and transforming faces through makeup.
After studying esthetics at Aveda, Mariah moved to NYC to begin her professional makeup career. Her range in technique and style is as diverse as her clientele. Over the years, she has had the pleasure of working with Lancome, Senna, NBC, The Today Show, Martha Stewart, Vh1, Tyra Banks, Nightline, White House Correspondence Ball, The Oscars, Golden Globes, Sag Awards, Paula Abdul, Bette Midler, among others. After honing her craft on the east coast, Mariah journeyed to California where she continued her studies under celebrity makeup artist Eugenia Weston.
While working in the beauty field, she discovered the connection between beauty and spirituality. A certified Reiki therapist and yoga instructor, she is able to combine the two through conscious beauty and inner and outer transformation, thereby enhancing self-love and acceptance.
For Mariah, makeup is not just a career, but a calling that has brought her as much joy and fulfillment as the work she provides for each of her clients.
